| Electromeridian ImagingŪ (ryodoraku)
was initially developed in Japan in 1951 by Dr. Yoshio Nakatani and has
been recently innovated by Dr. John A. Amaro of
The
International Academy of Medical Acupuncture Inc. It helps
to reduce the human errors and bias possible in Eastern medicine diagnostics and makes
evaluation procedure more reliable. It produces an exact reading of 24 "yuan" or source points on wrists,
feet, and ankles to determine an imbalance in meridians. It measures the effectiveness of acupuncture
treatments and helps patient to see progress as well as areas requiring further attention. The procedure is computerized and
completely painless. The device used is "Ryodoraku
with Stimulation" which is
the top of the line for stand-alone ryodoraku devices. In our office, we
are exclusively using the PC
interface which sends measurement results directly to the
computer and makes them error-proven.
